Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Spiral Cellar was originally a French invention,
developed by Monsieur George Harnois in 1978. Realizing that many modern homes
had no proper cellar he designed the perfect solution. Since then over 20,000
cellars have been built in France and over 2,500 in the United Kingdom. Spiral
Cellars Ltd, a UK company, has taken the French design, optimized it functionally
and for ease of installation, and has now introduced the Spiral Cellar to the
U.S. Recognizing the growing wine industry in the Northwest U.S., Spiral
Cellars Ltd has initially introduced their product to wine lovers in the Seattle
area, but will soon be expanding throughout the U.S. The company is owned
by Adrian and Lucy Hargreaves, and Nigel Hall. We are working with S&K Cellars
LLC, Redmond, WA, on the U.S. introduction. | |
